This programme runs annually and is free to all member schools. It explores the evidence base for the effective design and facilitation of teacher professional development, including session and programme design and the evaluation of professional development. The programme also explores what is known about effective ways to develop teachers’ practice, both within and beyond one school. All participants are supported to identify their own strengths and areas for development.
This is an ideal programme for current or aspiring Lead Practitioners, SLEs or middle and senior leaders who work to support teachers to improve their teaching.
The sessions include exploration of research evidence and theories, as well as opportunities to consider how these apply to your own experiences and context. There will be inter-session tasks which support participants to apply their learning to their day-to-day work as a leader of teaching and learning.
